Durban - Africa's Leading City Destination
The beautiful sunny city of Durban is thriving. At the recent World Travel Awards held in Mauritius, Durban was crowned "Africa's Leading City Destination" and "Africa's Leading Meetings and Conference City". These prestigious awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate world-class excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Durban has also been featured among the top 19 global holiday spots by British Airways as a 'must-see' destination. So too has The National Geographic Traveler magazine ranked KZN as number 13 in its 2019 'Cool List' of places to see. The current goal of Durban Tourism is for the city to be the number one tourism destination in Africa in the next five years and in the top 20 destinations in the world by 2022.
