With its iconic 21-metre high lighthouse, world famous promenade, and Whalebone Pier, Umhlanga Rocks is perfectly positioned along the Indian Ocean coastline offering gorgeous scenery, ocean views, and tropical warm temperatures all year round. It's the ideal destination for swimming, tanning, and building sandcastles on some of South African's most popular beaches. Take a leisurely stroll or jog along the 4.6km Umhlanga promenade - it's certainly the best way to start the day watching the sunrise!  For nature enthusiasts walk through the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve which is inhabited by local wildlife - it offers wonderful tranquility. Kids will love splashing about at the Wavepark for some water park action or catching a movie at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.  The Umhlanga Bowling Club is a great place to enjoy some bowls and is wheel-chair friendly.
